About Toby

Hi! I'm Toby, a college student in Boston, MA, originally from Piermont, NY. I am currently a tutor at Berklee College of Music and have discovered a new love for teaching since I began working, however, I began teaching private guitar lessons at 12 years old and have enjoyed working with students of all backgrounds since I started. I am happy to accommodate all learning styles and pride myself on being incredibly patient and sensitive to the student's needs despite being enthusiastic about lesson material.

About the lesson

- Personalized lessons dedicated to the student's growth and success independent of age or experience
- Enthusiastic and patient teaching style which rewards engagement in the learning process.
- Able and happy to explain topics in more than one way and maintain confidence with the student and their needs
- Confident in the tutoring of harmony, ear training, arranging, composition, conducting, and other Berklee core music classes
- Confident in teaching guitar and bass in different musical contexts (jazz, funk, blues, etc.)
