About Mia
My teaching approach for advanced teen singers and ensemble performers is designed to deepen musicality, sharpen pitch control, and unlock authentic emotional expression. For The Advanced Teen, we focus on refining vocal flexibility and range through genre-blending exercises that challenge and inspire. I encourage self-directed growth with DAWs and vocal apps to track progress, build harmonies, and explore personal sound. The Quartet Player benefits from ensemble-based phrasing work, dynamic shaping, and ear training to maintain blend while keeping individuality. We use metronomes and backing tracks to tighten rhythm and polish timing. Each session emphasizes adaptability—whether transitioning from pop to R&B or layering contemporary worship into indie textures. Both personas receive targeted feedback on phrasing, tone, and expression that serves both solo and group settings. Confidence grows not only through repetition but through connection—with the song, the audience, and the self. I create space for risk-taking, improvisation, and storytelling through music. Together, we’ll explore songs that resonate and techniques that elevate. My goal is to help each student not just sing well, but perform with purpose, presence, and style.
