About Naomi
Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialise in teaching young children and early teens, using creative and playful methods to make learning engaging. My lessons incorporate games, movement, and storytelling to teach pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics in a fun way. I enjoy working with folk songs, Disney songs, musicals, and other age-appropriate repertoire, helping students develop healthy vocal technique while exploring music they love. My approach focuses on building confidence, listening skills, and a joy for making music. I tailor each lesson to the student’s personality and learning style, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged. Through playful exercises and interactive activities, students learn to express themselves musically and develop strong foundational skills. I emphasise the importance of safe singing habits and nurturing young voices. My lessons are structured but flexible, allowing room for creativity and self-expression. I love helping students discover the magic of singing and gain confidence in their voices. Learning music should be fun, safe, and exciting, and I’m here to make every lesson a joyful experience.

My voice lesson methodology is designed to support both Suzuki students and orchestra members, focusing on essential skills like breathing techniques, vocal health, pitch training, and performance skills. For Suzuki students, I emphasise foundational vocal technique, helping them connect emotionally with each piece while building strong pitch accuracy and tone. Orchestra members benefit from a focus on blending, harmony, and projection, ensuring their voice complements the ensemble while maintaining vocal health. I use breathing exercises, posture guidance, and warm-ups to strengthen stamina and control. Pitch training is supported through ear training apps and vocal tracking tools, helping students monitor and improve accuracy over time. Both personas develop confidence in performance, with attention to phrasing, dynamics, and expressive interpretation. Suzuki students explore personal expression within structured repertoire, while orchestra members learn to adapt to group dynamics and musical nuance. Lessons also include practical techniques for stage presence and emotional communication, allowing students to perform with authenticity. I encourage regular practice, but keep sessions engaging and rewarding. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, goals, and musical interests. My goal is to nurture technical skill, artistic growth, and a lasting love for singing.
