About Jamie

I am a bachelor's prepared nurse with 20+ years experience in healthcare. I have been in healthcare since I was 16 years old and became an RN at 24. I have a critical care background with a lot of my career being in the emergency department. At one point in my career I was a certified emergency nurse, ACLS and BLS instructor, and graduate nurse preceptor as part of a residency program. I have been teaching at the collegiate level for 4 years. I have taught many subjects including MedSurg, mother/baby, pharmacology, pathophysiology, NCLEX prep, and medical terminology. I consider myself an expert on this subject matter and am very passionate about contributing to the future of nursing by helping others be successful.

About the lesson

Nursing school is unlike any experience students have had and often is very overwhelming. My goal is to be able to calm your nerves, have fun, laugh, and promote an understanding of the materials on a level that allows the student to then critically think through any situation.
